IMG_4141Scott is adding another Holden restoration to his already impressive collection of eleven pre-1972 Holden’s. Being an Early Holden Car Club member, Scott’s FX ute will be another Holden restored back to life by a Holden enthusiast. The looks visually standard apart from the obvious triple carburetors and extractor system. However the output of this engine will certainly not be standard making this engine a healthy performer. The use of SRP forged pistons and a large cut from the head face improved the compression ratio. Head porting and over-sized  valves helped with the engine breathing and a custom camshaft grind to complement the package.

With a full engine balance, and a 6-volt 103electronic distributor rebuild using a pertronix system to help make the engine a smooth running performer. The SU carburetors were fully rebuilt and re-plated  to make them look like new. Once the body work is done the engine will be refitted and Scott can then  look forward to cruising the roads and also surprising a few people with his sleeper.
